Mangusta's brave new world

From the fast and furious Mangusta brand, comes two new yachts under construction – 43 metre Oceano and 45 metre Gransport.

Oceano 43
At 43 metres, the steel displacement Oceano has 450 gross tons of interior space and a contemporary Italian interior design style. The yacht has been designed around a seamless inside–outside layout.
The split-level beach club is impressive and there is a really unusual foredeck pool with double sunbeds set within the infinity-edge pool. Sleeping 10 guests, hull 4 has just been sold by Edmiston but hull 5 is under construction for delivery June 2020, €24.2 million

The Oceano is intelligently positioned in a very strong market sector that includes Sanlorenzo, Ferretti’s Custom Line and Benetti. However the facts are in her favour:

  • She is the only yacht with a steel hull
  • The aluminium Sanlorenzo is over €1 million more expensive
  • The GRP hull Ferretti has considerably less volume (348GT v 450GT)
  • The Benetti has considerably less range (3800nm v 4500nm)

Gransport 45
A 75 square metre beach club has unfolding platforms on three sides. It is an enormous sea-level, inside-outside lounging area. Perhaps the most unusual feature is the foredeck pool that flows into a waterfall. The flybridge is over half the length of the entire yacht with a central lounge separated from two huge deck areas just by glass screens.
With 430 gross tons and full-height windows, the interior can be customised by the Owner’s choice of designer. The Gransport is incredibly impressive with the power of a sports yacht and the sophistication of a cruiser. Talk to your Edmiston broker to see if it is the best of both worlds.

The gransport has so many good ideas. With a fast displacement aluminium hull, water jets deliver smooth turbine power to a top speed of 21 knots.
