55m Baglietto New Build Announced

Edmiston is proud to announce the signing of a 55m new build project from Baglietto.

Following the recent announcement of a 65m new build project with ISA Yachts, Edmiston can now announce a 55m new build with Italian yard Baglietto.

Cornelius Gerling introduced the client, saying, “I am extremely pleased to announce this new build project. We and the Baglietto team have worked very hard to ensure that the yacht will deliver exactly on the requirements of the client. It has been a long and meticulous process, but a very enjoyable one.”

Designed by Francesco Paszkowski Design, this new 55m displacement vessel will be of steel and aluminium construction, using Baglietto’s proven T-Line platform. This platform method will allow a comparatively fast build process, with delivery expected to be in 2019. The yacht’s design and layout will, though, be heavily customised.

Whilst paying homage to the builder’s ‘Seagull’ style, with soft and sleek lines and lowered gunwales, this project promises to deliver a highly bespoke yacht to reflect the Owner’s vision. The six-cabin interior layout will be extensively customised and, whilst specific design details are to be kept confidential, we can confirm the inclusion of a huge beach club area and a sundeck measuring some 160m2.

Marking what has been a very successful period in Baglietto’s history, CEO Michele Gavino said, “this is the third new build undertaken in the last five months, a time during which we have also delivered two new vessels (the 48m ANDIAMO and the first MV19 RIDOC) and presented two new projects that will complete our much-updated range.”

The Edmiston sales team has seen a notable increase in new build enquiries over the last few months, with two new projects currently under construction and some very interesting projects under discussion.
